As October unfolds, we recognize Mental Health Awareness month, as a season to reflect on the importance of caring for our inner worlds, supporting one another, and building a community where well being is deeply seen, valued, and nurtured.

Ways to Support your Mental Health:
1. Prioritize Rest and Rejuvenation: Aiming for consistent, quality sleep to restore both your mind and body. Aiming to create a consistent bedtime routine allows your body to wind down. This can include limiting screen time, dimming the lights, or reading a calming book. Quality sleep helps regulate mood, reduces anxiety, and restores cognitive function.
2. Move your Body with Intention: Honoring exercise that feels right for you and your body and mind. Gentle movement like walking, stretching, or dancing can significantly improve your mood. Physical activity releases endorphins and can serve as a grounding ritual when stress and anxious thoughts become overwhelming.
3. Nurture Supportive Connections: reaching out to friends and family when you need to talk is important. Consider joining a support group or talking with a therapist for a safe and nonjudgemental space. Surrounding yourself with people who respect your boundaries and encourage your growth helps build resilience.
4. Set Boundaries and Protect your Energy: paying attention to the people, environments, and activities that uplift you instead of drain you. Boundaries allow you to protect your energy.
5. Practice Mindfulness & Stress Management: Mindfulness is the practice of being fully present in the moment. This can look like meditation, journaling, deep breathing exercises, or simply pausing to notice your surroundings without judgement. These simple practices can help reduce the intensity of negative emotions and help you create space between yourself and stressful thoughts.
6. Honoring Facials as more than Skincare: Facials go beyond skin health, tending to ourselves is a beautiful practice of somatic healing.
